Senior Engineering Day
One reserved day. One bounded task. Done.
What this is
You have something specific that needs a senior pair of hands for a day. I block out the day, work on your task and nothing else, and hand back what I built along with a short note on what I found and what I would do next. The task has to be bounded enough to be worth attempting in a day — that is what the scope approval step is for, and I would rather tell you before you pay than after.

What's included
- One reserved working day, up to seven focused working hours
- One bounded task, agreed in writing before you pay

- A short written handover covering what I did and what I would do next
What's not included
- Open-ended work, or a task that plainly needs more than a day
- Multiple unrelated tasks bundled into one day
- Ongoing maintenance after the day ends
- Production security or compliance audits
- Work I cannot start because access was not ready
Unless an accepted proposal says otherwise. If you need something on this list, say so in your request — it is usually possible, it just needs pricing separately.
How it runs
- You describe the task in a project request
- I review it and either approve it, ask for more detail, or tell you a different package fits better
- You receive a secure payment link showing the agreed scope and the exact price
- You accept the terms and pay
- We agree a date and I reserve it
- I work the day and hand over the result
Timing
One working day, up to seven focused working hours. Normally scheduled within two weeks of payment, depending on what is already booked. The date is agreed with you before it is fixed.
Questions about this package
What if the task turns out to be bigger than a day?
I tell you as soon as I know, ideally at the approval stage before you have paid anything. If it becomes clear mid-day, I stop at the point where handing over is most useful, write up exactly where things stand, and we decide together whether a second day or a different package makes sense.
Do meetings count against the seven hours?
Yes. Investigation, communication, implementation, testing and deployment are all working time. That is why I ask for a bounded task and prepared access — the more of the day goes into the actual problem, the more you get out of it.
What do you need from me beforehand?
Repository access, a way to run the project locally, and someone reachable on the day for questions. If access is not ready on the morning we agreed, the day still counts.
