They follow it, describe their project, and I review it like any other request — nothing is guaranteed just because it came through a link.
They pay at the discounted price, and your reward accrues.

Referral terms

Written by me, a developer, and not reviewed by anyone qualified to review it. It describes honestly how I intend to run this, and I'll hold myself to it, but it isn't final legal language.

What you earn: You earn 10% of the full package price on each qualifying payment, calculated before the company's discount and including VAT. Your reward is not reduced by the discount they receive.
What they get: The company you refer gets 10% off their next three payments. The discount and your reward both apply to those same three payments.
When it counts: A referral qualifies when a company reaches me through your link, I accept the work, and they pay. Nothing is earned on requests I decline, on cancelled engagements, or on work that is never paid for.
One link, many companies: Your link does not run out after one introduction. Every company that comes through it gets its own three discounted payments, and you earn on each of them.
You cannot refer yourself: A link used to buy your own work earns nothing. Referrals from an email address at the same organisation as the referrer are held for review before any reward is approved.
Approval and payment: Rewards accrue automatically and are paid after I approve them, once the referred company's payment has cleared and any refund window has passed. I will ask you for payment details when there is something to pay.
Tax is yours: A referral reward is income. How it is declared and taxed is your responsibility, and depends on where you are and whether you are acting as an individual or a business. If you invoice me as a business, invoice me — that is simplest for both of us.
Honesty: Recommend me where you genuinely think I would do a good job. Do not spam the link, do not misrepresent what I do, and do not promise anything on my behalf. I can deactivate a link at any time.
Changes: I may change these rates for new referrals. A company already attached to your link keeps the terms that applied when they were attached.
